Under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure
with guidance from the Director, IT Projects and the
Infrastructure team, functioning independently with
minimal oversight and through the cooperative efforts of
the organization's IS Department, oversees and maintains
the operation of the organization's Local Area Network
(LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems including
hardware and software maintenance and troubleshooting.
The individual is responsible for overseeing and providing
direct troubleshooting, maintenance and repair for the
organization's workstations, laptops, thin terminal
systems, printers, remote connectivity, anti-virus,
operating systems and other infrastructure and application
systems supporting the organization's end user community.
The individual is responsible for issues of such diverse
scope where analysis of any particular situation requires
evaluation and judgment based on the individual's personal
knowledge of IT systems, their knowledge of the
organization's systems, consultation with other IT staff,
and independent consultation and judgment contributed by
others. The position requires an ability to support a
wide range of diverse technical issues and questions that
may arise from both inside and outside the organization.
The individual must be capable of assisting senior staff
and management with planning large scale projects
including, but not limited to, vendor management,
evaluation and cost studies. Requires knowledge of
Windows, VMware and Cisco systems, TCP/IP networking and
various hospital and practice management applications
preferred, though not a specific requirement.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information
Technology with an A+ certification preferred or A+
eligible, or equivalent in education and experience
demonstrating competency in role.
1-3 years training or acceptable experience in hardware
and software troubleshooting, diagnostics, configurations
and networking computers plus acceptable hands-on
experience with peripheral equipment required. Extensive
knowledge and demonstrated capabilities at the expected
levels related to Windows 7,8 & 10, network protocols,
Ethernet networks, software imaging systems, workstation &
laptop hardware and application software.
The candidate shall have 1-3 years' experience working
with end user issues with personal computers in
multi-user, networked environment including acting as a
liason resource for service calls not specifically related
to job function. Must have demonstrated communications
skills related to end user support. Individual will posses
excellent verbal and written skills.
Must be able to work under general supervision with a high
degree of self-motivation and moderate oversight. The

to travel by car to offsite locations on short notice.
